He attended a Southern Baptist seminary, spoke at the convention’s national pastors conference, was befriended by SBC leaders, started a new SBC church in the west end of Atlanta, and helped recruit other Black pastors to do likewise. ![]()

Inversions is about these two characters called "The Doctor" and "The Bodyguard", each of their stories are told in alternating chapters. Banks does some of his best writing on par with Crow Road and Use of Weapons. If I had to sum up Inversions with two words it would probably be "Damn good". There are some small references to The Culture, but calling it a culture novel is probably stretching it a bit. I'm not saying that it isn't just that you have to look closely. You have to look really closely to find anything that by any stretch of definition can be called Science Fiction. ![]() Banks which usually means that it's a Science Fiction story. If I had to sum up Inversions with one word it would probably be "Different". Inversions is a Culture series novel by the noted British author Iain M Banks. ![]() ![]() ![]() Matthew strong, dedicated & caring, Juliana is feisty, caring & independent. I loved both Matthew & Juliana, their banter is entertaining & their chemistry sizzles. ![]() The second Remington sibling to find love & whilst it could be read on its own there is the ongoing thread as to whom is threatening the family, so I would recommend reading the series in order. Matthew soon finds his focus wavering as he tries to determine just who is threatening the Remington family. But just how is she supposed to work for her secret society protecting animals when she is being followed around by a dashing detective? Matthew Archibald has taken on many jobs in the past, but never did he think he would be playing nursemaid to the sister of a duke.
